Striving Together to Achieve Rewarding Tomorrows  CVCA - START   is a self-improvement program geared for at-risk children ages 11-13.  The middle school years are difficult ones in the lives of young people.  They are in the "middle" in every sense of the word...no longer small children, but not yet adults.  They are vulnerable to making negative life choices.

Does your child need:
  • to be more responsible at home and school?
  • help with homework?
  • anger management?
  • substance abuse education?
  • an encouraging peer group?
  • positive role models?
  • better social and personal skills?
  • to spend quality time with peers?
Let us help:
  • Tuesdays, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    Richlands Middle School

  • Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    Fincastle Baptist Church, Tazewell

  • Thursdays, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    Graham Middle School

  • Also, the youth participate in a fun activity one Saturday a month as a reward for their hard work and effort.

As a participant in CVCA_START, your child's needs will be identified.  These needs will be met through tutors and mentors during the above after school workshops, other special activities and field trips.  Your child will be given the individual attention and support that he/she needs during this difficult time of life.
