Clinch Valley Community Action, Inc. to Conduct Parenting Classes
Today’s parents face many challenges in raising happy and healthy children. Parenting well is extremely important, but it also can be extremely difficult. However, according to Active Parenting, a leading parent education provider, the purpose of parenting remains the same: “to protect and prepare our children to survive and thrive in the kind of society in which they live.”
In order to assist parents, Clinch Valley Community Action, Inc. is offering Parenting Classes in February at the Main Office in Tazewell at 200 East Riverside Drive. All classes will be held from 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M. beginning Thursday, February 4, 2010. The classes will use the Active Parenting NOW curriculum, and will focus on children ages 5-12. Space is limited, and the classes cost $25.00, which includes a workbook.
